2024 Nye Beach Banner Auction

Welcome to the 2024 Nye Beach Banner Auction!

Proceeds from this auction fund youth art programming offered through the Oregon Coast Council for the Arts. These classes and camps give our local youth an opportunity to experience art and help them connect to themselves and the world around them.

Now in its 16th year, the annual Nye Beach Banner Project brings original public artworks to the streets of Nye Beach, the creative heart of Newport, Oregon. Sponsored by the Nye Beach Merchants Association, the Banner Project promotes the work of local artists, builds a sense of community and raises funds for youth arts programming through the annual auction. Artists create original artworks on canvas banners depicting images of this coastal neighborhood or the yearly theme. Many artists include textual statements on their banners. Finished banners are hung on light posts throughout the Nye Beach neighborhood from spring to fall. All artists that participate have donated their banner, making it their contribution to help bring art to the next generation.

By purchasing a banner during the auction, you get to take home original artwork by a local artist while also making it possible for our local youth to have access to art programs. All proceeds benefit the Oregon Coast Council for the Arts Youth Arts Learning Fund at the Visual Art Center.
