Old Collegians Rugby Club Indigenous Day 2019

Old Collegians Indigenous Day 2019- The very first Indigenous Day in SA Rugby. This was a successful event and was in conjunction with City of Burnside. Artwork for the original design by Amanda Conway-Jones with two painted Rugby Balls along with all playing Jerseys will be auctioned off to raise much needed funds for the HDF Corp - Creating opportunities for people with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.

Old Collegians Rugby Union Football Club Inc. on 27 July 2019 held the first Indigenous Round of Rugby Union as the local derby against Burnside Rugby Club. This initiative is to respect the traditional owners of the land we play on and embrace the culture that comes with it. With this in mind, special playing Jerseys were designed by local Kaurna artist Amanda Conway-Jones . The event was opened and the Welcome to the Country was by local elder Auntie Lynette. All proceeds of this auction will go to the HDF Corp - Creating opportunities for people with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.
All specially designed playing jerseys worn for the match, along with two rugby balls adorned with traditional artwork will be on auction today and will close on Sunday 4th August 5.00pm. Good luck on this auction and happy bidding!
