Support Project RED

Project RED was conceived by Ellen Wirshup in partnership with the Alano Club of Portland as an initiative to remove barriers to overdose prevention supplies and trainings, with a focus on restaurants, bars, strip clubs, entertainment venues, community based organizations, workers and artists in Portland, Oregon. Project RED also collaborates nationally with service industry and entertainment venues and workers, and touring artists, connecting them with local harm reduction organizations and resources and, if requested, supports and services for those in or seeking recovery from substance use or mental health disorders.

Individuals facing barriers to access can receive free overdose prevention supplies and educational materials via mail through Project RED's partnership with NEXT Distro.

100% of the proceeds from this auction will go to the Alano Club of Portland, a nationally registered 501(c)(3), and will be used to continue the expansion of Project RED.

Through innovative programming and community-based partnerships with organizations like All Rise, Ben's Friends, Brown Hope, Confronting the Storm, Wellbriety and many others, the Alano Club offers free, trauma-informed programming and mutual aid support to anyone in or seeking recovery from substance use and mental health disorders, serving more than 10,000 people monthly. Through Project RED, the Alano Club has been able to expand its work into harm reduction and overdose prevention, providing FREE overdose prevention supplies, education and training to those facing barriers to access.
