re:make

A group of emerging and established Sydney artists from a wide variety of disciplines have been matched with rescued artworks to transform them into new works of art to raise funds for East Sydney High School.

All proceeds will go towards developing an art program at ESHS – a school for young people who have had difficulty in accessing a mainstream education.

Re:make started with the gradual collection of found artworks. Abandoned landscape paintings and unfinished portraits were rescued from inner city and suburban kerbsides and then paired with Sydney artists.

re:make has a mission: to rescue abandoned art projects and give them a new life with the help of a group of emerging and established Sydney artists.
