Save Our Arena

This auction is in support of the Central Gatineau Arena, in Low Quebec. Funds are urgently needed to pay ongoing expenses, like hydro and insurance, and to finance a major repair to the ice making plant.

Thanks to community generosity all auction items are donated by community supporters both individuals, small and larger businesses.

Youth in the central Gatineau area benefit from having a full-sized arena close to home, participating in minor hockey, pick up hockey and public skating. The arena donates ice time to the local high school, St Michael’s High School for their winter sports curriculum and their two hockey teams. Adults operate a curling league at the arena and there are men’s and women’s hockey teams who play at the arena.
Our rural community needs to keep this recreation sports facility operational.

The Gatineau Valley Arena strives to provide a safe and high-quality sporting/recreational facility that enhances the quality of life of the residents of the upper Gatineau region. The arena promotes a healthy lifestyle by providing opportunities for individuals of all ages to socialize with one another and to engage in physical activities.

The Gatineau Valley Arena is owned and operated by the Central Gatineau Arena Association. The CGAA is actively working to modernize the facility and to enhance/expand the services available to better accommodate/adapt to the needs of this growing rural area
