About Our Auction

Welcome to Seattle Parrot Expo's annual auction! Seattle Parrot Expo--immersing everyone in the world of parrots showcasing connections many never considered for family and professsionals. Your winning bid at our annual auction helps us help parrots and their people around the world from our backyards in the Northwest to the far reaches of South America, Africa, Asia and Australia!

The beauty, splendour, intelligence and joy that define parrots inspire millions of people globally including religious beliefs, artwork, desire for partnership. Despite any reverence, parrots, as an Order, are in dire straights losing over 59% of their global diversity in less than 5,000 years. The industrial complex is chiefly responsible for this loss as people encroach more and more on needed wild areas for both the survival of these amazing creatures and humanities' own future.

Flight Club Foundation recognizes this urgent need to understand the complex web required to help the Parrots of the World. We begin our mission with the youngest generation of people, sometimes less than 3 years old to understand these magnificant animals to creating professional connections to assisting the elderly with therapy sessions.

We understand the continued/previous damage of the International Pet Trade. Our goal is to reverse that disadvantage on global populations utilizing owners and supported industry to give back to the needs of wild counterparts while increasing welfare practices.

We conduct over 100 educational outreach programs annually ending every show stating, "Save a parrot today, save the human race tomorrow." Every very natural biome parrots are found are critically needed resources living organisms require for clean water, clean air and food. The very basis of life.

Flight Club Foundation understands this dymamic critically using the latest science learned at conferences and classes globally. We then share our information, our experts we learned from, our mentors to achieve our goals. Bringing in our expertise to a local, national or international level is a costly task much less helping us pay for birds we care for in our programs.

Your winning bid helps us achieve our goals we started by saving one parrot at a time. Please take a look at everything we do all year long to help many take their first step or continue their work at www.flightclubfoundation.org.

About Flight Club Foundation

Flight Club Foundation's Mission: To increase awareness of and advocacy for the environment our parrots rely on by uniting communities, improving welfare, supporting conservation, assisting research, creating educational programs, inspiring adults and involving the youngest generations in the changes we need to make.

How do we do that? With the following programs:

1. Parrot Ambassadors Educational Outreach--over 80 performances annually with live parrots spreading inspirational, interactive messages regarding sharing, turn taking, accepting differences, diversity and conservation.

2. Seattle Parrot Expo--the bringing together of professionals and families to immerse attendees in everything connected to parrots. Since inception, our Expo has always been free admission with free parking and easy access to public transportation so everyone can join us regardless of financial status.

3. Parrot Playdates: Bringing people and parrots together offering parrots required social enrichment for their wellbeing, some flying and a lot of social fun conversing with community and fellow parrot owners. Helping owners realize they are not alone with their problems.

4. Event support: We produce a booth, talks, volunteerism, sponsorship and more to ensure other parrot-related events continue besides our own.

5. Conferences and talks: We attend other conferences and talks for our own education then bring the field researchers, veterinarians, behaviorists, nutritionists and more we learned from to you. In addition to providing what we learn in our research free to conferences globally. Many of our talks involve recovering lost parrots, parrot welfare, and addressing Global Carbon Crisis.

6. P.A.R.R.O.T.T. program: Parrot Adoption, Rescue, Rehabiltiation, Owner-Training and (parrot) Triage. This program assists owners and parrots beginning with minor behavioral advice (free). We also offer behavioral consultation and intervention. Offer assistance in homes to keep birds in homes. Offer temporary boarding or foster and help find parrots find new homes. Lastly, help with disaster or end of life management. Our current capacity is limited to home caregivers.

7. Parrot Grant Program: Giving $1000.00 or more annually to small, conservation-minded NGO's and non profits who meet our criteria.
