Splinters Chainsaw Art

All items in this auction were created by chainsaw artists from trees damaged in the recent derecho storm. 40% of the proceeds from the sale of these items will go back to the artist(s) who created the item(s). The remaining proceeds (minus auction fees) will be donated to Trees Forever in order to replant some of the many trees that were destroyed in our community. Donations will gladly be accepted as well (PayPal, debit, or credit card).

Iowa BIG is a learner-centered educational program in Cedar Rapids where students work together across district lines on real-world projects while earning high school credit. Splinters is one of those projects where students created a way to change a devastating derecho and turn it into something amazing in order to give back to our community.
