Stanglin Stallion Breeding & Donation Benefit

Benefit auction for Dusty Stanglin. Dusty was diagnosed in July of 2022 with pancreatic cancer. He has gone through a couple of duct surgeries, before going through 6 weeks of chemotherapy, in order to shrink a tumor on the pancreas, to see if he would be eligible for the Wipple Surgery. By the Grace of God, he was eligible, and had the Wipple surgery the first of November to remove the tumor. We found out that Dusty has a very rare type of cancer. Only 1-4% of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer have it. They aren’t sure how to treat it because it is so rare that they haven’t had the opportunities to deal with it like they have other pancreatic cancers.
MD Anderson in Houston, TX is where they need to be. Appointment set for Dec. 6. Dusty had his fist appointment at MD Anderson. Here is the update from his wife Brandi......

The appointment went great, and we got positive news!! The doctor was very informative and encouraging. Dusty will take chemo treatments every other week for 4 and a half months. He will be sent home after each treatment with a pump that administers one of the chemotherapy medications. He will have to stay hooked to the pump for 2 days. The doctor was very positive that this treatment will work with his type of cancer. He will be able to take his treatments back home. They will do a scan the first part of February. He feels that his cancer may be genetic. They will do tests to determine if it is genetic. He was very positive that Dusty is going to be okay. We have blood work tomorrow and we will home after that. God is so GOOD!!!

Dusty is very active in the church and is always there to help any and all the kids from any chapter at all livestock shows.
With Dusty going through these big surgeries, chemotherapy, traveling to and from Houston and both him and Brandi missing work. We would love to help soften the burden.
