St James 25th Anniversary Silent Auction

On this special occasion of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of St James Community Square, we are looking to raise sufficient funds to make some quality improvements to St James. In particular, we plan to expand the size of the outside balcony at the entranceway to the Hall. This would include the installation of a new canopy for those rainy days. We also need funds to update and improve the current heating system. We view these improvements as necessary so that St James can continue its vital role in the community.

St. James Community Square is a registered non-profit and charitable organization dedicated to providing affordable community space for educational, cultural, recreational and social activities in the heart of Vancouver’s Kitsilano neighborhood. We have about 5,500 people registered for, or participating in, programs at the site and our facility hosts about 500,000 user visits per year, including numerous special events. Facilities include St. James Hall, a variety of multi purpose rooms and some dedicated office space.

On Saturday, May 12th at St James Hall, a concert will be held, which is virtually sold out! Only a few tickets are left. Accompanying the concert is a silent auction, which will be located in Room 104. Doors will open at 6:00pm for viewing and bidding. The entertainment starts at 7:30pm.

Some of the auction items already donated and online include cabins on Keats Island and Point Roberts; yoga passes to Semperviva and Moksha Yoga; children's activities such as Phoenix Gymnastics and Kids Market; tickets to the symphony and Arts Club, framed art works done by recognized artists; unique one-of-a-kind items that just have to be seen; restaurant certificates, such as the White Spot and Browns Social House; hand crafted items such as cutting boards and knitted hats; and much much more! Auction items will be coming in right up to the day of the concert!

Online bidding ends on May 10 at 2:00 pm. Final bidding on the items displayed will be at the May 12 Celebration event.

Only those holding tickets for the May 12 event will be able to bid that evening.
