Women's Golf Day Supports Doctors Without Borders
Now in over 50 countries, Women’s Golf Day (WGD) (http://www.womensgolfday.com) is a global movement that engages, empowers, and supports women through golf. This year, WGD is adapting the 5th-anniversary event to bring the industry together for a virtual WGD celebration on June 2nd. As a part of our virtual celebration, WGD has launched a fundraising campaign to support the charitable organization Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in both its fight against the global COVID-19 pandemic, and with its long-term humanitarian missions.
“The golf industry has always been rooted in community and charity. Women's Golf Day unites the golf industry around the globe to support the incredible efforts of Doctors Without Borders and do our part to help in the fight against COVID-19 which affects so many of us around the world. We are united, resolute, and want to look back and take pride in how we responded to this challenge." shared WGD founder, Elisa Gaudet.
Your contribution/donation will enable MSF teams to launch dozens of emergency programs to help stem the spread of COVID-19, care for infected patients, and respond to the pandemic’s consequences on local health systems. It will also help ensure MSF can continue to provide lifesaving medical care in other ongoing projects worldwide.
