Women for Healthy Rural Living Summer Auction

Women for Healthy Rural Living's Milbridge Days Silent Auction will run from July 19th to 28th (at 8 pm), raising funds to support Incredible Edible Milbridge and Milbridge Commons Wellness Park. The online auction features 20 hand-crafted wooden trays designed by area artists and makers - as well as other special and unique items.

Items may be viewed at WHRL's office at 87 Main Street, Milbridge, from Tuesday, July 23 to Wednesday, July 25 (9 am to 3 pm) and during the Milbridge Days Raffle Auction on Friday, July 26 (10 am-5 pm) and Saturday, July 27 (9 am-3 pm).

Our mission is to advance and promote the health and well-being of the woman, her family, and her community.

Research shows that women are the primary healthcare consumers for their families. By targeting our message to women, we hope to impact the health and wellness of the entire family and community.

Our goal is to provide an equitable and accessible path to health and wellness. We address the foundational elements of health as they pertain to the unique needs of our Downeast neighbors. In particular, WHRL focuses on human wholeness, addressing physical wellness and emotional, social, and spiritual health. Priority areas include 1) creating greater food security and improving nutrition, 2) providing more opportunities for physical activity, 3) building community connections, and 4) affording access to nature.
